Shane

Shane came home last night. We had lasagna he helped make. Then he went to Craig's. Craig asked him to go. But Shane came back around 1130. I made him lunch today. He was grumpy but got to work for a little after 6. He has to work in Brunswick today.

Fresh eggs fresh cookies

This morning I started to make Dave peanut butter cookies for work but we didn't have any eggs. So in my bathrobe hair put up in towel fuzzy slippers I walked out to the chicken coop. I didn't see eggs but 2 broody chickens in nesting box and out little chicken Faith running around Dave came out also in bathrobe and found eggs under one of the broody hens. I made peanut butter cookies in about 15 minutes.  DAVE thinks I'm amazing. Or outstanding. Or some other fabulous word.

Today was Kites against cancer Day to benefit the Rainbow Fund. Dave and I picked up Rick to go. We bought 2 kites, $10 each.  It took me awhile but I got the green one up! Dave and I took turns.  Rick flew an orange one. I also bought a butterfly rock for moms garden, and $10 worth of raffle tickets.

very stressful

When someone you love gets stopped for something they weren't doing it turns your life upside down trying to defend them.

Found this is my folder of achievements today... thought some of the cops out there would appreciate it... Life touches me the events i witness affect my thought process Allowing me to feel for others i wish i could be indifferent, unchanged by a Marine crying beside his grandmothers grave refusing to leave Unemotional as EMTs remove the rope from around a fathers neck as he lays cold on the kitchen floor his sons picture staring at me from the counter im supposed to remain composed as i tell a woman to call the hospital not knowing that as i stand there, they tell her her husband has died shes my age, all she has A cop standing in her dim lit hallway and she latches on Life touches me i function i feel i think i grieve i love i hate in my black polished boots i smile i laugh i cry life touches me The professional edge has molded me experience hasnt made it different Reacting. not reacting as a trained observer even though im on the outside looking in im trying to make a difference Lif

Fairies

Yesterday after work I went to the Dollar Store to but a butter dish. Before I found it I found 60 other little things to buy. FAIRIES! I bought them for Mom's garden. Not 60 but a good amount. And little ceramic mushrooms for houses.

Shane

Shane came home after work last night. It was nice to be able to spend time with him. He brought me a flowering plant to put in my garden. We ended up watching National Security, the movie. We were both tired. He's back to working with Billy which makes him happy. They dug the foundation for a deck. For snack I made popcorn. He had some blueberries. He said he forgot how much he liked them. This morning he left by 540 am. I offered to make him a sandwich for lunch but he was running late. He just wanted coffee! I gave him the necklace I got at Roundstone for Jessica. She forgot it on mother's day He asked if I knew where his folder from court was. YES! For once I knew exactly where it was. It's under the hammered dulcimer in the living room. He said he didn't need it right now, just checking. Well it was a short visit but much enjoyed!

Mother's Day

Dave took me in the morning to get flowers. Specifically, lilacs. We cut them from just down the street on Meaderboro Rd.. I cleaned up the tables and started breakfast for the kids. Faith came with Bigby. He's such a sweet dog. I brought out a rubber Spivey ball to play with.  Crysta and Jesse came with cool little red convertible car. They brought some flowers to plant and helped make breakfast. (Brunch) luckily some bacon was already done they could munch on. Shane stopped at the garden center on his way with Jessica. So I called. Jessica said she didn't realize we made food. They stopped for gas and we were done with breakfast by the time they got here. Jessica brought her dogs too. Initially we just had Bigny outside but by the end of the visit Whuskey, loki, Ruby and Lucy all joined him.  We painted a rock for Mom. Shane brought a hanging petunia that we put on the wooden double swing. We moved the swing to face the garden. Dave took pictures. Shane also brought catnip, s

Florida

I found a place to rent in Glorida but it's expensive. Dave doesn't even want to go. Crysta said not to count on her going. Faith and Michael not going. Shane wants to but it's in the peak of his work season. So...I reached our to Pat and Val to see if they wanted to share a space with us. If they do ill go from there. I don't know who else to ask. Charlie?

I did it!

YAY! I went grocery shopping. It was $200. I also paid for storage $145. Paul came to fix the washer. $236. Money doesn't go very far. I still want to get a website back and photologo. Yesterday the small things I did was call Amanda for class and Joe M. Shane's lawyer. I called to start application fir life insurance outside of employment. Everyone should do that. I made dinner with David instead of going out to eat. It's nice to spend time together and I actually think we talk more when we are cooking in the kitchen then when we are sitting at a restaurant. I fell asleep watching the crown so I will still not get it when we watch it again.

Last night

Dinner, by the way. Was at Olive Garden where I had soup and salad. With Dave, the love of my life. I'm trying to get back on track. Today. I shall do my best at Core Physicians Today, I will pack Dave a lunch gor work TODAY, I will go grocery shopping.

Psychological Road Block

I haven't been motivated to do anything lately.  My dishes sit. I have not gone shopping for food.i haven't finished editing several photo shoots. I haven't taken the steps to get photo logo back or set up my website. I haven't even looked at Ireland photos. I haven't looked through mom's things. I don't even walk to mailbox. Last night was tough to go out to eat dinner. My scale broke while I was gone and I haven't called support to fix it. My washer is broken.  I managed to call appliance repair guy Paul yesterday. I'll be grateful for that.

Return Home

David picked me up at Logan and met me at the baggage claim. I was so grateful because my body was sore. Colleen and I both took wheelchairs at Dublin. I forgot to add some posts. Dave had washed windows and curtains, tilled mom's garden as well as his vegetable garden. But the sweetest thing ever was that he wrote sweet love letters to me in our journal when I was gone.

Mom made it to Ireland

Colleen brought Mom's ashes so she could finally t ravel to Ireland with us. This is her visiting Omey Island

Westport

Image
We went to Westport on Friday. It was recommended to me by Gerard Costello a long time ago. I met Gerard in 2009 when I was Director of Security for Harvard. He started out as the guard in the yard. HARVARD yard that is. He worked his way up and took my place at shire Pharmaceuticals when I was a Security manager there after Harvard for Securitas. Anyway. At Westport we toured Westport House saw Grace O'Malley statue hidden behind a food truck, and went to eat at The West.

Wild Atlantic Way

Image
We only made it to 3 Wild Atlantic Way discovery points this trip and it was unintentional. On way to Westport on Friday we passed Killary HArbor. I was so excited about it and the view was breathtaking! I also took pictures with my camera of course which i will process later. A short distance down the road we also found Ashleigh Falls. I was walking along the shore and among the gort not realizing the post was on the road just around the corner.  We also found Croagh Patrick View but did not climb it. The trip to climb i think is 7km up and back.
