Sept 25 2022

Day 2 of my stay home vacation. I woke up this morning to big puffy clouds right outside my window. I KNOW they are going to turn beautiful shades of pink but for the first time that I remember I chose the tub over the sunrise. Time is limited at home this morning because I'm picking up my sister Colleen. I'm actually looking forward to the 2 hour down to Rhode Island with Dave. Our Sunday drive with different scenery! Maybe we can take some of the back roads. Our friends who are in Ireland in the cottage Colleen rented in Cashel sent us familiar pictures of the view . It reminded me I haven't gone through all the pictures LAST year. Ever since I lost access to my photologo and old computer and editing tools photo editing just isn't the same. I also paid for an unused web site. I couldn't figure out how to do a sample of my work on the opening page. So I really need to either get on with it or choose another platform if I'm going to do it at all.

September 2022

3 weeks ago mom went in the hospital and 3 days ago she got out. She went back to Birch because there aren't many places that could provide the proper care and I didn't want to make her more confused and lice with total strangers in the last stage of her life. She needs fed small bites and can't use a straw. These are two of the main priorities but for the past 2 days these simple things were not followed. Colleen is here in Rhode Island with Ray Ron and Shirl. Today Ray's mom Violet would have been 103 and they are going to visit her grave. Colleen was going to have me pick her up in Boston tonight at the airport. We were supposed to fly to Ireland today. Rob Inman is still going so they are driving him there. Colleen said she didn't want to go without me and that makes me sad She wanted to go so badly. I just didn't want to go and leave mom in her condition. So Colleen exchanged the airline tickets for the end of April. I asked Colleen if I could pick her up i

Every State

I have this dream. I want to exhibit photographs in every state in the US. Then tonight it dawned on me. I've never been in every state. I don't know someone in every state. Some states I know nothing about.  So let's look at Alabama. I looked them up on Google. There are beautiful beaches. Rich in civil right movement and history. Museums. Artists. State parks and trails. So much more. I need to understand a little more about the states and the culture of each. So my journey is more focused on being present in a state and photographing my understanding of it. I'm developing a deeper desire. I'm growing.  I hope to share my journey here. I haven't made it to Alabama yet but when I do you'll be the first to know.

Dave mowed the lawn too!

After such a hard physical weekend we went to Baxter lake to take a dip in the lake. It's only 5 minutes from here and it was dark except for the flashes of lightening! It was so refreshing to just wear my robe down to the water put it on a rock and jump in. Dave wore his boxers in then took them off in water so there was no exposure.  He also brought a sheet size towel to wrap in. We didn't stay long but the water and stars were so refreshing for the soul.

Labor Day weekend

Mom was admitted to Wentworth Douglas Hospital on Sept 1. I received a call from Birch Healthcare that Dr Riscola said to call ambulance. Her heartrate was 130 and her extremities were swollen. Ive been going over every day. They gave her heparin drip then Eloquis 10mg 2x a day for a week. They are also giving her metoprolol. CT revealed blood clots in both lungs. She is still being treated for UTI. She can't make full sentences. They aren't sure she will recover to that capacity. Dr Sheriff at WDH has been amazing and meeting me everyday. Mom has connected with an LPN Heather who is an herbalist as well. When she's in with Mom she holds mom's hand and doesn't let go. Dave and I stayed close this weekend. He had offered to take me to Erie. Hoe could I turn that down? Well with Mom and the house needing work Labor Day Weekend really dud turn into a weekend of labor. On Saturday we cleaned out the chicken coop. It was an all day affair outside of moms visit. I made a
