about Mom from Faith

You had the brightest light, with a smile that could lift the lowest of spirits. I've never met anybody as patient, or as loving, or as free spirited. You had 13 grandchildren by blood, and countless more through our friendships. You left a mark on everyone who met you. You always told me I was the best birthday present, but you were my best life present. You brought me a love for nature and for all living things, taught me how to listen to nature and to people in their silence, that I can do and be anything I want to be, that there's nothing wrong with having breakfast for dinner, that it's okay to cry, that laughter is the best medicine, that everybody deserves to be loved, and a thousand more lessons that I could write a novel about. You had my back, no matter what. I could feel like the whole world was against me and you'd be there with a hug, tea, a song, and w

Mom woke me up

Maybe it was because Colleen Jessica and I were working on Mom's obituary yesterday. But today atv220 Mom woke me up. "TELL MY STORY' She kept saying. "I'm still here' I said ok ok mom I will. Like I've said to her a thousand times before. Mom talked to God more than anyone I know. About everything. She wanted to be the example. If someone asked where she got her strength she always replied, "GOD" She loved him.  Her mother was ill when she was 7 and could no longer care gor her. So she and her younger sisters were placed at St Alohonsus orphanagecwhere she was raised by her grandfather's sisters. Nuns. SistercMargerite and Sister Agathonia. She was separated from her infant brother Adrian who went to live with two other great Aunrs Emma and Gertrude Albert. Mom had to strong for her little sisters. She received a good education in catholic schools. She was there even in High School and attended St Joseph's Academy and hadv8 years of voic

Sunrises

Image
One of my favorite things to do is go see the sunrise. I rarely get to do it anymore. Mom used to get up everyday and go with me even if she just fell back to sleep in the car. I miss those days.  I didn't sleep well last night. I was going to get up to go today but I didn't just want to go to Baxter lake and I didn't get up early enough to go anywhere else.  Here's some old ones

This morning ivwas raking a bath in a hotsy totsy bath brick. It was marvelous. Dave had to go tovwirk and I was planning to go see mim.  I gitca call from her nurse Kelsey. Mom had a black tarry bowel movement with blood. She asked if I wanted her to go to hospital. I called Colleen who asked if she called doctor. She hadn't. I called kelsey back to call doctor.  I drove there and the doctor ordered labs.  Shane came by with Schaeffer and it was so upsetting for him to see his non like that. He talked with her cried with her hugged her. Mom wasn't very responsive all day. I stayed with her until like 40m when Dave came and stayed with her so I could get a nap. But 2h3n I got home shane wasn't here. I called him and he had taken Ruby with him and Matt Schaeffer to Matt's mim Rondas house in Lee. I drove there to get a ruby brought her home and fed her. I gotca box of grandma and aunt Kathy's wool from Colleen. A butterfly pin. A typed how to from Aunt Kathy. Colleen

Date night

Dave took me to LA Corona for date night. They said it was going to be a 25 minute wait so we were going to leave because I was tired and did not want to wait that long. Mercedes came out and said we could sit in the bar as we were almost to the car. It helps to have friends in high places. Lol. Queen of LA corona. I think she's great and not because she found us a seat.  She gave us a hug when we left. I bought a t-shirt that says I speak English after 2 tequilas. I was going to get one last year for their 10th Anniversary but we weren't able to go because we were sick.

my visit

I took mom pizza instead of flowers . She loved it. She was feeding herself with a spoon mandarin oranges. He swelling was not as bad as I anticipated. I met the assistant nursing director Samantha and Phil came in to tell me the priestwill come by Monday for last rites. I brought mom's clothes home to wash. I'm feelingvexhausted.
